According to the agency, the woman filed a complaint with the SCNS about her lawyer's illegal actions.
According to the investigation, the lawyer, who represented the interests of the applicant accused of fraud (Article 209 of the Criminal Code), convinced her that he had connections in the judicial authorities and could influence the decision of the Osh City Court. For his assistance in securing a more lenient sentence — probation or a suspended sentence due to the presence of a minor child — he demanded 350,000 KGS.
On 3 November, during operational and investigative activities, the lawyer was caught red-handed in the Osh City Court building after receiving the agreed amount. During a personal search, he voluntarily handed over the money that had been given to him as a bribe.
A criminal case has been opened on this fact. The detainee has been placed in the SCNS detention centre.
