08/04/2025, 16:41On Isanov Street in the city of Osh, the demolition of illegal buildings erected in a green zone along the Ak-Buura River has begun. This was reported by the press service of the city mayor's office.
According to the department, commercial facilities such as restaurants, clinics, driving schools, and other establishments were built along the water protection zone, where the distance from the riverbed should be at least 50 meters. Despite numerous warnings from the city authorities, the owners continued to operate the buildings. Demolition work has now begun.
Among the first to be demolished is the Erdent clinic, owned by Ermek Choyunov, who worked for a long time in the State Tax Service. The Baisan restaurant, owned by former deputy and ex-speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Akhmatbek Keldibekov, is also scheduled for demolition.
In addition, the buildings of a driving school linked to former MP and former speaker of parliament Asylbek Jeenbekov will be demolished, as well as buildings belonging to former MP Urmat Amanbaeva and former Kyrgyz ambassador to the US Bakyt Amanbaev.
City authorities note that actions to clear the coastal strip will continue in accordance with the law.
