Import of substandard bitumen detected in Osh region

The State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic has initiated a criminal case into the illegal import of bituminous materials into the city of Osh and the Osh region.

According to the results of an examination conducted by specialists from the RC «Stroysertifikatsiya» legal firm, it was confirmed that companies OsOO «T» and AOOT «A» imported substandard products that did not meet the requirements of GOST 22245-90.

The products were delivered without proper declaration and documentation, which indicates attempts to import substandard and potentially dangerous products. The use of counterfeit bitumen in road construction causes damage to the budget, destroys road surfaces and violates safety standards.

As a result of investigative and operational measures, searches were conducted at the offices of LLC «T» and JSC «A», and the bitumen pits belonging to these companies were sealed.
The investigation into this matter is ongoing.
