Two top managers from Vietnam joined the board of directors of Bank Compagnie

Two top managers from Vietnam, Nguyen Thi Thien Huong and Le Quang Vu, have joined the board of directors of Bank Companion. Their candidacies were approved by the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan on February 12.

According to the bank, the renewal of the board of directors was part of the changes that took place after the change of shareholders in November 2025. At that time, 100% of the shares of Bank Compagnon CJSC were acquired by Solaris Finance Limited, a strategic partner of ROX Group (Vietnam).

Nguyen Thi Thien Huong was appointed chair of the board of directors. She has over 30 years of experience in banking, risk management, and corporate governance.

Since April 2024, she has held the position of Senior Advisor to the Board of Directors of MSB – Vietnam Maritime Commercial Joint Stock Bank, where she advises on strategic development and credit portfolio control. Previously at MSB, she served as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors and chaired the Large Loans and ESG Committee.

Prior to that, Nguyen Thi Thien Huong held senior positions at Techcombank, including Deputy CEO and member of the Audit and Risk Committees, overseeing credit, liquidity, and operational stability.

Le Quang Vu, a manager with more than 25 years of experience in banking, consumer finance, and business development in Southeast Asia, has also been appointed to the board of directors.

He previously held management positions at ROX Group and MSB Bank, where he was involved in expanding the retail business, developing the micro and small business segment, bank mergers, and operational restructuring in collaboration with McKinsey. Le Quang Vu holds a Doctor of Business Administration degree, an MBA from Maastricht School of Management, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics.

"The new members of the Board of Directors expand Bank Compagnie's access to international banking expertise and best practices in corporate governance. This should strengthen strategic development, improve the quality of risk management, and increase the efficiency of the retail business," the bank said.

Solaris Finance Limited, as a strategic investor, provides financial and technological support to the bank and focuses on the implementation of digital solutions tested on fast-growing banking platforms in Southeast Asia.

It should be recalled that Nguyen Quang Man, a representative of Vietnam, also joined the board of directors of Bank Companion earlier. According to the bank, he is an expert in banking and risk management, previously worked at MSB, and oversaw retail and corporate lending.
