In the Talas region, beans are sold for 155 KGS per kilogram

This year, 70,800 tonnes of beans were harvested in the Talas region, and they are sold on the market for up to 160 KGS per kilogram.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic, beans are currently sold at the following prices:

• Skorospelka variety — 155–160 KGS;
• Lopatka variety — 95 KGS;
• Tomato variety — 92 KGS;

To support farmers and maintain stable prices, the Cabinet of Ministers has allocated 100 million KGS to Kyrgyz Agroholding OJSC to purchase beans at 95 KGS per kilogram, while other buyers are accepting beans at 92 KGS.

The Ministry of Agriculture noted that information about the alleged “unsold 100,000 tonnes of beans” and a price reduction to 60 KGS is not true.
