A new public service centre has opened in Tokmok

A grand opening ceremony for the new Public Service Centre (PSC) was held in Tokmok. The event was attended by Kanybek Tumanbayev, Chief of Staff to the President.

The new PSC is located in Tokmok, at 1/1 Ibraimov Street (the former bus station building). The total area of the facility is 1,000 square metres, which will create comfortable conditions for serving the residents of Tokmok and the Chui region — more than 150,000 people.

The centre provides all basic government services: passport issuance, civil registry services, PIN assignment, registration of Kyrgyz citizens and foreign nationals.

For the convenience of citizens, the new Public Service Centre includes a photo service area, VIP service, a cashier's office, a ceremonial hall for marriage registration, a notary, and a mother and child room.

To increase capacity, the staff has been expanded: instead of 10 specialists, there are now 12 employees and 5 technical staff. This will allow up to 600 visitors to be served daily and reduce waiting times in queues.

«The opening of the new Public Service Centre is an important step in improving the accessibility and quality of public services. We are creating convenient and modern conditions so that every resident of the Chui region can receive services quickly and comfortably», — said Kanybek Tumanbayev, Chief of Staff to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The opening of new PSCs is part of a large-scale effort to digitise the country and create comfortable conditions for both the population and the employees of the centres. Here, citizens will not only be able to receive services in a ‘one-stop shop’ format, but also learn how to use government online services. The growth in the number of users of digital services is, first and foremost, a convenience for citizens and a reduction in the workload on the centres themselves.
