    The UK has provided Kyrgyzstan with more than $2 billion for the development of projects in various spheres

    On December 13, 2024, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev received British Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Nicholas Bowler.

    During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of joint work within the framework of recently provided to Kyrgyzstan by the UK Government financial resources for development and business projects in the amount of 1.8 billion pounds ($2.27 billion) through the British Export Credit Agency (UKEF) in the field of agriculture, mining, construction and other areas at competitive rates.

    In addition, the sides exchanged views on other topical issues on the Kyrgyz-British agenda, such as cooperation in the field of ecology, climate, migration and critical minerals.

    At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue joint work on maintaining high-level political contacts and holding investment forums both in Kyrgyzstan and in the UK.
