Spring field work in the country is almost complete

As of today, spring field work is almost complete. According to preliminary information, work has been carried out on a total area of 657,100 hectares.

The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry reports that 101,900 hectares have been sown with wheat, which is 99% of the planned structure, and 228,400 hectares have been sown with barley, with almost 95% of the plan completed.

In addition, 64 thousand hectares of potatoes have been planted across the republic, and corn has been planted on an area of 106 thousand hectares.

Vegetable crops occupy 53 thousand hectares, melons and gourds have been sown on 12.2 thousand hectares, which is 1.16 thousand hectares more than last year, and oilseeds have been sown on an area of 13 thousand hectares.

Sugar beet has been planted on 13,500 hectares in the Chui, Talas and Issyk-Kul regions.
