05/14/2025, 16:29The resumption of YouTube monetisation in Kyrgyzstan could bring the country up to 100 billion KGS per year. This became known during a meeting between the head of the State Revenue Service, Almambet Shykmamatov, and the team behind the children's YouTube project D Billions.
According to the Tax Service, the participants in the discussion raised the issue of the inaccessibility of YouTube channel monetisation in Kyrgyzstan. According to the authors of D Billions, the country was once included in the list of countries with accessible monetisation, but was removed a week later.
The D Billions team, whose videos have garnered over 45 billion views, expressed hope that the state would help return Kyrgyzstan to this list. This would open up opportunities for local authors to earn money from their content, while also generating revenue for the country's budget.
As a reminder, the D Billions project is one of the most successful children's channels in the world, with an audience of over 34 million subscribers.
