Kyrgyzstan's GDP grew by 10% in nine months

According to preliminary estimates, gross domestic product in January–September 2025 amounted to 1 trillion 240.5 billion soms, which is 10% higher than in the same period last year.

GDP growth was achieved through an increase in industrial production, with pharmaceutical products (a 2.3-fold increase), food and beverage production, and tobacco products (a 40.1% increase) standing out in particular. Additional growth was provided by rubber and plastic products and construction materials (31.8%), wood and paper products and printing industry products (28.7%), chemical products (17.7%), clothing and textiles (8.5%), and mining (16.3%).

The construction sector saw a 29.6% increase in volume, wholesale and retail trade saw a 10.9% increase, and agriculture saw a 0.9% increase. Over the same period since December last year, consumer prices and tariffs across the republic rose by 5.5%. The price structure shows an increase in the cost of food and non-alcoholic beverages by 6.4%, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products by 5.1%, non-food products by 3.3%, and tariffs for services to the population by 6.3%.
