07/24/2025, 15:25After a video appeared on social media showing fruit being treated with dichlorvos in one of the Globus chain hypermarkets, the Bishkek Center for State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance conducted an unscheduled inspection of the retail outlet at 196 Akhunbaeva Street.
The inspection revealed a number of violations of sanitary requirements. A report was drawn up against the enterprise, and a fine of KGS 23,000 was imposed on the legal entity in accordance with Article 214, Part 5 of the Code of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Offenses.”
The management of Umai Group LLC, the operator of the hypermarket, decided to dismiss the employee who committed the violation. The entire batch of fruits and vegetables that were on sale on the day of the incident was withdrawn from sale.
