In three months, 343 documents were brought to the Lost Property Office. Most of them were passports

In the first three months of this year, from January to March, 343 lost documents were brought to the Lost Property Office. Of these, only a quarter, or 77 passports, birth certificates, driving licences, etc., were returned to their owners.

Statistics show that these are the documents that people lose most often. During this period, 235 Kyrgyz passports were lost. Only 57 people came to claim them. The rest are still waiting for their owners.

Incidentally, it is not only Kyrgyz citizens who lose their passports, but also foreigners.

The Lost and Found Office counted six such passports, of which two were collected.

In second place in terms of the number of lost documents are birth certificates, with 33, of which only seven were collected. Driving licences, which are in third place in terms of losses, accounted for 22 documents brought to the Lost and Found Office, but only one was collected.

Among the documents waiting for their owners at the Lost and Found Office were 16 marriage certificates, three military ID cards, the same number of state acts on the right to private property, four vehicle registration certificates, a work record book, a school certificate and other documents.
