02/18/2026, 17:11By resolution of the General Meeting of Shareholders of Alfa Telecom CJSC (MEGA TM), Kurmanbekov Mederbek Temirbekovich has been appointed CEO of the Company with effect from 18 February 2026.
Mederbek Kurmanbekov is a professional in the field of communications and telecommunications technologies, economics and finance, as well as public administration. He has over 20 years of work experience.
In 2006, he graduated from the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University with a degree in Economics.
He began his professional career in 2006 at BiMoCom (MegaCom), where he held various positions in finance, planning and auditing until 2012, and also headed the budget control department.
He was subsequently elected Deputy Executive Director and then Executive Director of the Association of Telecommunications Operators of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In 2017, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Information Technology and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic. In 2021, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic. In 2022, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic.
From October 2023 to August 2024, he held the position of First Deputy Director General of Alfa Telecom CJSC (MEGA). From August 2024 to February 2026, he worked as Director of Economics, Finance and Strategic Development — Member of the Board of JSC Airports of Kyrgyzstan.
Mederbek Kurmanbekov has proven himself to be a high-level professional, an effective manager and a responsible leader capable of implementing strategic tasks in the field of telecommunications and digital development.
The appointment is aimed at ensuring the sustainable development of the company, strengthening its market position and further implementing priority areas of activity in the interests of subscribers and the state.
