According to him, $1.176 billion (more than 100 billion KGS) was received in the form of taxes and mandatory payments to the budget.
In addition, over the past four years, the state has received $441 million in dividends (about 38 billion KGS), which is significantly higher than historical figures: from 1994 to 2021, Kyrgyzstan received a total of $100 million in dividends, even though 410 tonnes of gold were mined from Kumtor, and only about 1 tonne went to the state.
Zaparov emphasised that today Kumtor is a stable source of budget revenue, providing funding for social obligations and infrastructure projects.
