Gold at Kumtor will be mined for another 30 years

The head of the Kyrgyz Geological Service Narynbek Satybaldiev that gold at the Kumtor deposit will be mined for another 30 years. This was reported in the press service of the company with reference to radio Sputnik .

According to him, since February 2023, a project on underground gold mining is being implemented at the Kumtor mine, and full-fledged mining of precious metal will begin in the coming years.

Note that also in the current year it is planned to begin development of the deposit “Togolok” combined method (that is, open-pit and underground).
