The ban is particularly strict in spring and summer, when the risk of forest fires is high. Violators may be fined and, in some cases, brought to administrative responsibility.
However, unlike Russia, where starting from September 1, grilling kebabs will only be allowed in designated areas, in Kyrgyzstan, the ban will not hinder vacationers. The country has many places where people can enjoy picnics and grill kebabs on a barbecue.
The first location is the Alamedin Gorge. In the Jloo recreation area, you can barbecue in a gazebo. The place is suitable for groups of up to 15 people. Prices range from 6,000 to 8,000 KGS. (50 minutes by car).
The second location is the Bulak recreation area, also located in the Alamedin Gorge. Here you will find yurts and mats for a comfortable stay. The place can accommodate up to 30 people. Rent costs from 3,000 to 6,000 KGS. (1 hour by car)
Next is Kegety Mountains, located in the Kegety Gorge. Here you will be allocated a whole yurt, and the entrance fee is 350 KGS per person. The place can accommodate more than 30 people. If you want everything to be prepared for you, from food to salads, as well as washing the dishes after the picnic, the cost of the service will be 1,500 KGS per person. (2 hours by car)
The next place is Rancho (5b Kartanbaeva Street). Here you will find a comfortable place with a bed for resting and barbecues. This place is suitable for a small group of up to 15 people. The rental cost is 300 KGS per person. (1 hour by car)
The Kara-Bulak campsite in the Alam-Ata district offers a comfortable stay, but unfortunately, it will be closed for the May holidays due to cold weather. However, with the arrival of June, the campsite will open to guests. (1 hour by car)
Don't forget that if you don't want to go to special areas, you can have a barbecue at home in your garden. The main thing is to follow safety rules, do not light fires near flammable materials and always have fire extinguishing equipment with you.
Remember: even in permitted areas, you should be careful with fire so as not to endanger the natural environment.
And for those who are not particularly fond of trips to the countryside and barbecues, the city council has prepared a festive programme.
