Today, in the Alamedi district, a capsule was laid to mark the start of construction of Kyrgyzstan's first multifunctional agro-industrial complex equipped with a shock freezing system for products down to -35°C. The event was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev.
Torobaev noted that the implementation of the project is part of President Sadyr Zhaparov's state policy aimed at food security and agricultural development.
The complex is being built under an investment agreement between Kyrgyz Agroholding JSC and the South Korean company DOD Company, which is investing $12 million. The minister stressed that international investment is the key to the technological modernisation of the country's agricultural sector.
The new technology will make it possible to preserve the quality of meat without additives, prevent weight and moisture loss, and bring products to export markets, including Korea and Japan.
