Seventeen Social Institutions in Kyrgyzstan Prepare for Autumn-Winter 2025–2026 Period

Deputy Minister of Labour, Social Security and Migration Ainura Orozbaeva visited a number of social care institutions to familiarise herself with preparations for the autumn-winter period.

During the visit, the buildings and premises were inspected, the heating systems were checked, and the availability of necessary fuel, food and medicine supplies was monitored. Particular attention was paid to safety issues and the creation of comfortable living conditions for social service recipients.

The ministry is constantly monitoring the preparations of 17 residential social care facilities for the autumn-winter period. All facilities are being inspected on site.

The heating systems are distributed as follows:

• 4 facilities are heated with coal;
• 3 are heated with a combination of coal and electricity;
• 9 are heated with electricity.

In addition, the Kelechik rehabilitation centre for children with disabilities is connected to the central heating system.

As for institutions heated with coal, according to the Department of Social Protection under the Ministry of Labour, they have already signed contracts for the supply of 1,593.7 tonnes of coal. Of these:

• The Sulukta SSU has signed a contract for 33.7 tonnes, with delivery taking place in stages.
• The Kadamzhai Psychoneurological Social Services Centre has signed a contract for 310 tonnes, with the first 150 tonnes expected in the coming days.
• The N. Serafimovsky Social Services Centre has received 330 tonnes out of 800 under the contract, with the remainder to arrive by the end of September.
• The Tokmok Psychoneurological Social Service Institution No. 1 has been fully supplied with 450 tonnes of coal, and the boiler rooms have been repaired.

At present, all social institutions are actively preparing for the heating season. Coal deliveries and repair work are being carried out in accordance with the approved schedule.
