04/25/2026, 09:00Erlist Akunbekov, Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry, held a meeting with ministry staff, during which it was noted that gross agricultural output for the first three months of this year amounted to 47.923 billion KGS.
In January–March, the gross domestic product of agricultural production amounted to 47 billion 923 million KGS, with a growth rate of 102.8% compared to the same period last year.
Livestock farming accounted for the largest share of the total volume — 98%, crop farming — 1.5%, agricultural services — 0.3%, and fisheries — 0.2%.
Compared to the same period last year, growth in livestock farming stood at 2.8%, and in crop farming at 1.2%. The cattle herd reached 1.8 million head (an increase of 1.7%), sheep and goats — 6.3 million (an increase of 0.8%), and horses — 565,900 head (an increase of 2.3%).
The poultry population reached 8.5 million head, an increase of 11.9% compared with the first quarter of last year.

The average milk yield per cow was 368 kilograms (an increase of 2.5%), whilst hen productivity reached 50 eggs, an increase of 22%.
Overall, the agricultural sector, particularly livestock farming, continues to show a steady upward trend.
