The National Bank has approved the chairman of the board of directors of Asman Bank

The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan has approved the nomination of Tilek Ashimov for the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors and, concurrently, Chairman of the Risk Management Committee at Asman Bank.

The regulator made this decision on April 23.

According to information from open sources, Tilik Ashimov has over 20 years of experience in the banking sector. Previously, he chaired the Board of Directors of RSK Bank (now Eldik Bank), headed the Financial Company for the Support and Development of Credit Unions, and also the Raiffeisen Cooperative Development Fund in Kyrgyzstan. In 2020, he also headed the “Bai Tushum Innovation” fund.

As a reminder, “Asman Bank” is one of the new players in the banking sector and received a license from the regulator on February 4 of this year.

On the same day, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic (NBKR) also approved a number of other appointments in the banking sector. Thus, Kutman Shakirov’s candidacy was approved for the position of head of the internal audit department at “Mbank.” Bektur Esenbaev was approved for the position of audit director at “Bank Kompanion.”

In addition, Nasyrbek Uulu Urmat became an independent member of the board of directors and chairman of the risk management committee at Eurasian Savings Bank.
