Aktiv Invest, a shareholder of which is MEGA, is expanding its activities in the virtual assets market

Aktiv Invest LLC, one of whose shareholders is the telecom operator Alfa Telecom (MEGA brand), has obtained a licence to operate as a virtual asset exchange operator. The state fee for its issuance was paid on 22 August this year.

Aktiv Invest already operates in the financial market, specialising in securities management. In August this year, it also obtained licences for brokerage and dealer activities.

Meanwhile, Alfa Telecom itself obtained an indefinite licence as a virtual asset operator on 7 March 2023. Thus, the telecom group is gradually expanding its presence in the virtual assets sector.

As a reminder, on 11 October 2023, the State Development Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic acquired 100% of the state-owned shares of Alfa Telecom CJSC.
