Bakyt Torobaev Presents Kyrgyzstan’s Investment Potential to Shandong Business Circles

Bakyt Torobaev, Special Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic for Special Assignments, took part in a business meeting with representatives of the business community in Shandong Province. The event took place as part of the Kyrgyz delegation’s visit to China and was aimed at expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China.

In his speech, he noted that the Kyrgyz Republic is interested in further strengthening direct contacts between the business communities of the two countries and implementing joint investment projects.

“Today, Kyrgyzstan offers favourable conditions for doing business and attracting investment. We are keen to expand cooperation with Chinese companies and are ready to provide comprehensive support to investors,” he emphasised. Bakyt Torobaev noted the high level of Kyrgyz-Chinese relations, based on the principles of good-neighbourliness, mutual respect and strategic partnership, and also emphasised that China is Kyrgyzstan’s largest trading and investment partner.

Following the speeches, the meeting continued in the form of an open dialogue between representatives of the business communities of both countries. During the discussion, the parties identified promising areas for cooperation, issues regarding the implementation of joint projects and the establishment of new business ties.

The Kyrgyz side presented a number of promising investment projects in the fields of transport, energy, industry, agriculture and social infrastructure. The event was attended by representatives of state bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic, domestic businesses, energy companies, as well as leading enterprises and business circles from Shandong Province.

As a result, an agreement was reached on further expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation, intensifying collaboration between the business communities of the two countries, establishing new business contacts and promoting joint investment initiatives of mutual interest.
