11/25/2025, 13:06Bank of Asia announced the full repayment of its first issue of registered gender bonds. Their circulation period ended in accordance with the terms of issue.
As part of its sustainable development strategy, Bank of Asia planned to issue 82,000 bonds with a yield of 12% and a maturity of three years. The nominal value of each bond is 1,000 KGS. The bank intended to raise 82 million KGS to support women entrepreneurs.
The issue took place in November 2022, but it was not possible to place it in full. A year later, in November 2023, the Financial Supervisory Authority announced that it had recognised the issue of Bank of Asia's social gender bonds in the amount of 29.3 million KGS. In other words, in reality, the bank raised only 36% of the declared amount.
In any case, on 18 November this year, the bank redeemed its obligations on the first gender bonds in full.
