Kyrgyz banks will be able to export worn-out dollars until March 1, 2026

Commercial banks in Kyrgyzstan will be able to export old and worn US dollars from the country until March 1, 2026. Previously, the deadline was set for September 1 of this year. The information is posted on the Toktom website.

This includes old-style banknotes issued before 2006. In exchange for the exported banknotes, banks will receive new cash or non-cash dollars.

It should be noted that the National Bank first granted this permission in December last year. Initially, the deadline was set for April 1, 2025. Later, it was extended to September 1, and now to March 1, 2026.
