According to the approved budget, approximately 600 million KGS have been allocated for these purposes. The funds will be used to build social facilities, engineering infrastructure, roads and lighting.
The list of construction projects includes the construction of six social facilities, the completion of seven design and survey works, as well as the major renovation of the Orok kindergarten building. In addition, there are plans to build seven municipal infrastructure facilities — from power supply and water supply to sewerage networks — and to carry out 24 design and survey works.
In the road sector, the repair of 18 streets with a total length of 12.16 km is planned at a cost of 157.7 million KGS. Along with the renewal of road signs, this should improve access to schools, hospitals and other social institutions.
Considerable attention has been paid to lighting, with almost 49 million KGS earmarked for the installation of 2,078 light points.
At the same time, the Bishkek City Council has approved new administrative boundaries for the capital and the municipal administrations that serve it. Two new MTUs have been created and the number of staff has been increased.
