The property had previously been voluntarily transferred to state ownership in an extremely poor condition and required major refurbishment. The building is currently on the books of the state-owned enterprise ‘Facilities Management Directorate’ under the State Agency for State Property Management.
At the tenant’s expense, the property has been repaired, refurbished and converted into an educational centre. The school has already enrolled 460 pupils for the coming academic year. In future, its capacity is planned to be increased to 800 places.
GAUGI Director Beksultan Tokonov and his deputies inspected the complex to ensure it was ready for the start of term. The agency noted that it will continue to lease out unused state-owned properties to facilitate their restoration and integration into the economy.
