Whose expenditure is growing fastest in Kyrgyzstan?

In 2025, the GDP by final use breakdown showed a sharp rise in consumption, but the growth rates were uneven.

Total expenditure on final consumption increased by 20.8%. Households made the main contribution — their expenditure rose by as much as 24.1%. This is the highest figure among all sectors and a sign of growing domestic demand.

Expenditure by public institutions increased much more modestly — by just 0.9%. Meanwhile, public administration expenditure on collective consumption rose by 3.5%, which is also significantly lower than the growth in private consumption.

In effect, the picture is as follows: the economy is accelerating on the back of household consumption, whilst government spending is growing at a modest pace. This gap creates a dependency of growth on consumer spending, making the economy more sensitive to household incomes and inflation.
