What Kyrgyzstanis read: top most ordered books on the marketplace

From January to September 2025, Kyrgyzstanis bought 35% more books on Wildberries than during the same period in 2024. In monetary terms, book sales grew by 38%.

The most dynamic areas were: children's literature — orders increased by 44%; fiction books — 25% more than last year; encyclopaedias, scientific and hobby books — 22% more; and historical and biographical publications — 53% more.

The highest sales were in the category of universal and popular books, where the number of orders increased by 37%.

The top 10 popular books show an interest in contemporary prose, self-development and educational materials.

Kyrgyzstanis most often ordered ‘Your Heart Will Be Broken + Pieces of Your Heart’ and ‘Let Me Love You. Part 2’ by Anna Jane. These books were ordered 60% and 50% more often, respectively.  In second place in terms of popularity is the bestseller If All the Cats in the World Disappeared by Genki Kawamura, which has sold over 2 million copies. In Kyrgyzstan, orders for the book increased by 30%.

Hate and Love: Part 1 by Anna Jane was also ordered 30% more. Another popular order was Rules of the Russian Language: Grades 1–4. Sales of this book increased by 20%.

Anna Jane became the most read author on the platform. Ganki Kawamura, Agatha Christie and Vladimir Adamchik are also in the top ten.

The growing interest in books on Wildberries reflects the formation of an online reading culture and the convenience of purchasing literature for residents of all regions of Kyrgyzstan. Buyers are increasingly choosing books for development, education and family leisure.
