Water Resources Service funded at 5 billion KGS in 2024

In 2024, dividends became the key source of income from state property management. Compared to 2020, dividend revenues increased almost 10 times - from 2 billion 176 million to 21 billion 376.4 million KGS.

Five large joint stock companies became the main sources of income. Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC is the leader among them, having transferred 11 billion 385 million soms. It is followed by Aiyl Bank OJSC (5.4 billion KGS) and Eldik Bank OJSC (2.5 billion KGS).

Manas International Airport OJSC and Kyrgyzneftegaz OJSC also made significant contributions - 1 billion 13 million and 620.8 million KGS, respectively.

According to the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration, as of 1 May 2026, 38,700 people were registered with employment services. This is 18.2 per cent fewer than a year earlier. Overall, the number of unemployed citizens seeking work through state bodies has also fallen to 60,200.

  • The tenge has officially changed its name

    With effect from 1 July 2026, the official spelling of the national currency in Russian has been changed from ‘тенге’ to ‘теңге’ in Kazakhstani legislation. The relevant amendments have been made to the Tax Code and a number of regulatory documents issued by the National Bank.
