The National Bank's 7-day notes yielded 3.42%

On 22 October, the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan held an auction, at which placed 7-day securities with a 3.42% yield. The main purpose of the auction was to withdraw excess liquidity from the banking sector for 10 billion KGS. Redemption of these securities is scheduled for 30 October.

This is the fourth auction in October. The previous ones were held on 1, 8 and 15 October and each time the bank offered for sale securities worth 10 billion KGS. Interest in them remains high: demand exceeds supply three times.

As of 22 October, there were the NBKR notes for 10.7 billion KGS in circulation. Of them, 10bn are 7-day securities, and 700m KGS are 182-day securities.
