09/17/2026, 09:56The Ministry of Finance held public consultations on the draft national budget of Kyrgyzstan for 2027 and the planning period 2028–2029.
According to preliminary estimates, national budget revenue in 2027 will amount to 727.3 billion KGS. Expenditure is planned at 694.8 billion KGS. Consequently, the budget surplus could amount to around 32.5 billion KGS.
During the hearings, participants discussed the areas to which budget funds are intended to be allocated. In particular, the discussion focused on funding for the National Oncology Centre, the procurement of medicines, medical rehabilitation for people with disabilities, and the replacement of hearing implants for children with hearing impairments.
Expenditure on the development of inclusive education, improving access to healthcare services and enhancing social support measures for the population were also discussed.
The Ministry of Finance noted that the proposals and comments received during the hearings would be collated and considered jointly with other state bodies as the draft budget is further refined.
Public hearings are held annually by the Ministry of Finance in accordance with Articles 71 and 127 of the Budget Code.
