07/27/2026, 16:01As of 1 April 2026, total wage arrears in Kyrgyzstan had increased by 24.3 per cent compared with the same date last year. This is according to data from the National Statistical Committee.
More than half of the total arrears are in the Chui Region к 51.7 per cent of the total amount of overdue payments.
In second place is the Jalal-Abad Region, which accounts for 39.4 per cent of wage arrears.
A significantly smaller share is accounted for by Bishkek – 3.6 per cent – and the Batken Region – 2.9 per cent.
Thus, over 91 per cent of all wage arrears in the country are concentrated in two regions – the Chui and Jalal-Abad regions.
