05/24/2026, 17:22The Interim Trade Agreement between the EAEU and Mongolia will enter into force on 22 July 2026. The agreement provides for the reduction or complete elimination of customs duties on 367 product lines.
The launch of the agreement was announced by Andrei Slepnev, Minister of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Jadamba Enkhbayar, First Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia.
During the meeting, the EEC officially notified the Mongolian side that all procedures on the part of the EAEU had been completed. In Mongolia, ratification of the agreement had been completed earlier.
The agreement is valid for three years, with the possibility of automatic renewal for a further three-year period. After the first three years, the parties intend to begin negotiations on further trade facilitation and the removal of additional restrictions.
The document was signed on 27 June 2025 in Minsk at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. The agreement is expected to expand mutual trade between the EAEU countries and Mongolia by reducing customs barriers.
