02/04/2026, 14:36The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has decided to grant tariff concessions for imports of cattle meat. In accordance with the decision, up to 5,000 tonnes of meat may be imported into the EAEU on preferential terms until 31 December 2026.
The tariff concession applies to fresh and chilled meat (EAEU HS code 0201) as well as frozen meat (EAEU HS code 0202).
The concession is granted upon presentation of a supporting document from the authorised body of an EAEU member state. The document must specify the importing organisations, the nomenclature and the volumes of imported products.
One of the key conditions is that the imported meat must be used exclusively for the production of meat products by processing enterprises. At the same time, the export of finished products manufactured using the specified meat to other EAEU states is not permitted.
The decision is aimed at providing the domestic market with high-quality raw materials, supporting the processing industry and maintaining price stability.
The implementation of this measure will contribute to strengthening the food security of EAEU member states and creating favourable conditions for economic entities.
