Kyrgyzstan reports growth in meat production

In January–April 2025, the production of key livestock products in Kyrgyzstan increased compared to the same period last year.

According to data from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry, meat production grew by 3%. Thus, the country produced 127,100 tonnes of meat.

Growth was recorded in all regions of the country and was due to an increase in livestock and poultry numbers. Milk production amounted to 437,600 tonnes (an increase of 1.5%). The main factors were an increase in the number of cows by 1.8% and an increase in their productivity by 16.4 kilograms.

Kyrgyzstan also produced 243.6 million eggs (an increase of 11.5%). This growth was ensured by a 10.6% increase in the poultry population and a 13% increase in the average egg production of hens.
