The document provides for support for joint industrial projects, the development of exports of goods from EAEU member states, and the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies.
The signing took place on 25 June in Almaty on the sidelines of the EDB’s Annual Meeting and Business Forum. The document was signed by Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Chairman of the EEC Board, and Nikolai Podguzov, Chairman of the EDB Management Board.
The memorandum updates the existing mechanisms for cooperation between the parties, taking into account new economic and technological conditions. Among the priorities are support for cooperative projects in industry and the agro-industrial sector, the improvement of financial instruments to promote exports, and the wider application of information technology and artificial intelligence.
According to Bakytzhan Sagintayev, the document will form the basis for further joint work on developing integration projects requiring investment support.
The new memorandum replaces the existing legal framework for cooperation and takes into account the future directions of development for the Eurasian Economic Union.
