    The EEC discussed with Mongolia the prospects of a temporary trade agreement with the EAEU

    On September 16, Deputy Director of the EEC Trade Policy Department Kanybek Kasymali uulu delivered a speech in Ulaanbaatar within the multi-sectoral business mission framework.

    He emphasized the importance of the participation of the business community of the EAEU member states in the development of trade and economic cooperation. It is planned within the framework of the temporary trade agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Mongolia.

    Kanybek Kasymali uulu highlighted the importance of the systemic development of relations, which began in 2015 with the signing of the memorandum of cooperation.

    During the specialized session, Natalia Taraskina, Deputy Head of the Special Trade Regulation Issues Division of the EEC Trade Policy Department, informed the participants about the details of the temporary trade agreement, including product coverage, prospects for signing and introducing preferential treatment in trade between the EAEU and Mongolia.

    In conclusion of his report, Kanybek Kasymali uulu invited those present to participate in the Eurasian Economic Forum - the main EAEU annual business event, which will be held in Yerevan from September 30 to October 1, 2024.

    The multidisciplinary business mission is organized by the Russian Export Center at the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Mongolia on September 16-17.
