    The EEC recorded inflation in 2024 in the EAEU countries: from 1.5% to 9.5%

    In December 2024, annual inflation in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union was recorded at the following levels: Armenia - 1.5%, Belarus - 5.2%, Kazakhstan - 8.6%, Kyrgyzstan - 6.3%, Russia - 9.5%.

    Compared to the same period of 2023, there is a slowdown in inflation in Belarus by 0.6 percentage points, Kazakhstan - by 1.2 percentage points, Kyrgyzstan - by 1 percentage point.

    At the same time, acceleration of price dynamics by 2.1 percentage points was observed in Armenia and Russia. In terms of consumer prices, inflation slowdown was observed in the food sector in Belarus and Kazakhstan, in the non-food sector - in Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, as well as in the services sector in Armenia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan.

    The governments of the countries took measures to limit the growth of consumer prices, and central banks followed tighter monetary policy to ensure price stability.
