In 2024, 97.8 tonnes were exported during the same four-month period. Thus, exports grew by 47%. This was reported by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry.
The largest importer of our honey is China, with 82.1 tonnes since the beginning of the year.
The main destinations for honey exports from Kyrgyzstan are the UAE (24.5 tonnes), Uzbekistan (15.1 tonnes), Kuwait (4.6 tonnes) and Qatar (6.3 tonnes).
Incidentally, honey imports have practically ceased, indicating that domestic production is sufficient and confidence in domestic honey is growing. For example, last year Kyrgyzstan imported 44.8 tonnes of honey, while this year the figure is only 0.5 tonnes.
