The elevator in Balykchy, which was returned to state ownership, will be completely renewed

During a working trip to Ysyk-Kul region, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet Bakyt Torobaev visited the elevator in Balykchy and gave instructions to modernize the mill located on its territory.

The mill, whose building was returned to state ownership after illegal privatization in 2008, will be renovated and will be able to process up to 120 tons of grain per day. This will ensure food security not only for Ysyk-Kul and Naryn oblasts, but also for the whole country.

The elevator in Balykchy was built in 1978, its total volume is 100 thousand m³, which allows storing up to 70 thousand tons of grain. The enterprise is fully functioning, railroad tracks and warehouses are in good condition.

Bakyt Torobaev noted that the elevator plays an important role in supporting farmers, developing production and creating jobs, so it is necessary to bring it to a modern level. As a result of the visit, a decision was made to finance the repair of the mill and upgrade the equipment.
