Evgeny Kaspersky visited Kumtor and assessed the digital transformation of Kyrgyzstan’s largest gold mine

Company founder Eugene Kaspersky visited the Kumtor mine, where he familiarized himself with the operations of Kyrgyzstan’s largest gold mining enterprise, as well as with the state-of-the-art technological solutions used in production.

During the visit, the guest was briefed on the company’s current operations, as well as its projects to modernize and expand its production facilities. The parties focused particularly on issues related to digital transformation, the automation of production processes, and the implementation of cutting-edge technologies aimed at improving the company’s operational efficiency.

The guest visited the Central Open Pit, familiarized himself with the operations of the gold processing plant, and gained an understanding of the scale of gold production at one of Central Asia’s largest deposits. He was also briefed on the specific challenges of operating the facility in high-altitude conditions.

A separate topic of discussion was the prospects for technological transformation in the industry and the role of digital solutions in improving the productivity and safety of production facilities. The visit by the founder of one of the world’s largest cybersecurity companies proved symbolic against the backdrop of growing interest among industrial enterprises in digitalization and the protection of technological infrastructure.

Kumtor Gold Company noted that it continues to implement projects to modernize production, introduce modern technological solutions, and develop the company’s digital capabilities.

Following the visit, Eugene Kaspersky highly praised the level of organization of production processes and the scale of the projects being implemented at Kumtor.
