Farmers and private households continue to feed the country

The share of state-owned and collective agricultural enterprises in total output in 2024 was only 3.1 per cent and has remained virtually unchanged over the past five years. The main burden continues to fall on the private sector.

Peasant farms and private subsidiary farms accounted for 92.2 per cent of gross output. This figure remained at the 2023 level, confirming the sustainability of the small-scale agricultural production model.

At the same time, collective enterprises showed sharp growth in 2024, with output increasing by 64.1 per cent to reach 11.2 billion soms, although their share in the total volume remains minimal.
