Almost 40 million KGS allocated for the development of master plans for settlements in Batken Province

Over eight months, the Ministry of Finance has provided funding to the Batken region from the republican budget totalling 366.1 million KGS. This was reported by the press service of the ministry.

Among the key areas of funding, special attention was paid to the development of master plans for settlements, for which 39.9 million KGS were allocated. The master plans will form the basis for the future development of the region, allowing for a systematic approach to urban planning, infrastructure and social security issues.

The region received 352.2 million KGS in interbudgetary transfers, including:

  • equalisation transfer — 221.7 million KGS;
  • funds for delegated state functions — 7 million KGS;
  • 50% compensation for the cost of electricity – 54.4 million KGS;
  • subsidies for heat supply companies – 29.2 million KGS.

An additional 13.9 million KGS was allocated to compensate for electricity costs for the aiyl okmotu of the Batken region.
