The Entrepreneurship Development Fund has launched preferential lending for women

The Entrepreneurship Development Fund has announced the launch of a new programme designed to expand economic opportunities for women in business. Starting today, female entrepreneurs can obtain preferential loans at 12% per annum — a rate that is significantly lower than the market average and is aimed at stimulating the growth of small and medium-sized businesses in the country.

Women engaged in manufacturing and services, as well as companies where women account for at least 50% of the founders, are eligible for financing. The application process is extremely transparent. Individual entrepreneurs need a valid patent or registration certificate, while legal entities need proof of state registration.

The loan is provided for a term of up to three years. Loans ranging from 50,000 to 3 million KGS are available. An important feature of the product is the possibility of a grace period for those who are launching a new business or expanding production.

The programme was made possible thanks to financial support from the Asian Development Bank, which allocated 22 million KGS on a co-financing basis. The Fund is contributing a similar amount from its own resources. Thus, the total budget of the project is estimated at 44 million KGS.

The Fund emphasises that women's entrepreneurship remains one of its strategic priorities. In the first ten months of the year alone, the Fund provided 253 women with business development loans totalling over 478 million KGS.
