According to the Deposit Insurance Agency’s financial statements, the fund stood at 7.47 billion KGS at the end of 2024.
The main contribution to this growth came from contributions by participating banks. These increased to 5.65 billion KGS, compared to 4.34 billion a year earlier. Additionally, accumulated net income rose to 3.8 billion KGS from 2.88 billion.
The contribution from the Cabinet of Ministers remained unchanged at 257.7 million KGS.
Thus, the key drivers of growth were regular contributions from banks and the fund’s investment income.
As a reminder, the maximum amount of guaranteed compensation for deposits in Kyrgyzstan is 1 million KGS per depositor at a single bank.
