The Guarantee Fund held a series of lectures on financial literacy for students of KSTU and BSU

In anticipation of World Savings Day 2025, the Guarantee Fund has joined a national campaign to improve financial literacy, organised under the slogan ‘When dreams become opportunities’.

From 27 to 31 October, lectures, training sessions and interactive classes on personal finance, entrepreneurship and savings culture are being held across the country. The National Bank, government agencies, commercial banks and microfinance organisations are participating in the campaign.

The first lecture of the Guarantee Fund took place on 28 October at the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov. Indira Zholdoshova, chief specialist of the Advisory Services and Financial Literacy Sector, and Sezim Kasymova, senior specialist of the same sector of the Strategic Development Department, spoke to students of economics.

The speakers talked about the role of the Guarantee Fund in supporting small and medium-sized businesses, the mechanisms of guarantee support for entrepreneurs, and the practical aspects of personal budget management. Particular attention was paid to the importance of savings, financial goal planning, and the basics of investment thinking.

The event was interactive, with students completing themed assignments, discussing real financial situations and proposing their own solutions. At the end of the meeting, the most active participants received commemorative gifts.

The second event took place on 30 October at K. Karasaev Bishkek State University. Experts from the Guarantee Fund once again held an interactive meeting, where they told students about guarantee products, mechanisms for financial support for entrepreneurs, and the role of the fund in the country's economic development.

A separate section was devoted to the topic of savings as a tool for financial stability — the speakers explained how even small savings can be a step towards achieving life goals.

Students actively participated in discussions, asked questions, and shared ideas on developing financial literacy among young people. The most engaged participants also received gifts from the Guarantee Fund.

World Savings Day is celebrated annually on 31 October. Kyrgyzstan joined the initiative in 2015.
