In Bishkek, newlyweds can take part in the city’s greening project by planting a tree to mark the start of their family life.
To do so, you must submit an application on the website, choose a location, provide your details and pay for the sapling using a QR code.
Saplings cost 15,500 KGS for trees with a containerised root system (planting is tentatively scheduled from 10 April to 25 October) and 7,800 KGS for those with an open (planting is tentatively scheduled from 10 March to 10 April and from 26 October to 25 November).
Participants may also purchase the saplings themselves. However, they must meet the established requirements and be approved in advance by specialists from the municipal enterprise. Approval can be sought from specialists via the website or by calling 0880 005123.
