08/01/2025, 17:54In the first half of 2025, Kyrgyzstan saw positive dynamics in the labour market. This was reported by First Deputy Minister Aliza Soltonbekova at an extended meeting of the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration.
The number of unemployed people registered with employment services decreased by 15,978 compared to the same period last year and amounted to 65,422. As of 1 July, 72,804 people had applied to employment assistance departments, which is 13% less than last year. Of these, 52,302 citizens received advice on labour legislation, employment, vocational training and retraining, as well as vocational education.
The number of employed citizens increased by 1,269 and reached 7,630.
During the reporting period, 157 disabled persons were employed, which is 36.5% more than last year. 87 disabled persons received vocational training, and 144 persons with disabilities were referred to paid public works. 766 disabled persons were registered as unemployed.
The ministry's regional offices have stepped up their work with employers, doubling the number of job vacancies analysed. The most active regions are Bishkek, Batken, Kadamzhai, Leilek, Nookat, Aksu and Jeti-Oguz.
At the same time, in the districts of Nooken, Aravan, Toktogul, Alay, Kara-Kulja, Zhumbal and Chon-Alai, insufficient work with employers on the placement and updating of vacancies has been noted.
