A further 18 winners of the competition and the ‘Best Tutor of the Year’ award each received 500,000 KGS.
The awards ceremony took place on 5 October in Bishkek at an event marking Education Workers’ Day. In total, competitions were held across 22 categories, resulting in 19 winners being selected.
Plans to develop the education system were also announced at the event. In particular, in 2026, 220 schools will begin to be equipped with STEM laboratories, whilst 53 schools are set to open IT Quantoriums offering courses in programming, robotics and modern technologies.
One of the key areas of the reform remains Kyrgyzstan’s transition to a 12-year education system.
