02/18/2025, 16:27The Head of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev held a meeting with the Ambassador of Hungary to Kyrgyzstan Sándor Dorogi.
The parties noted the positive dynamics of bilateral cooperation, stressing the importance of maintaining political dialogue and economic ties. They paid special attention to the visit of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to Kyrgyzstan in November 2024, which strengthened the strategic partnership between the countries.
An increase in trade turnover was noted, but the need to increase exports of Kyrgyz products to the Hungarian market was discussed. Kasymaliev emphasised the strategic importance of cooperation, calling Kyrgyzstan the ‘gateway to China’ and Hungary the ‘window to Europe’.
They also discussed preparations for the meeting of the Kyrgyz-Hungarian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation to be held in Budapest in 2025, as well as issues of labour migration of Kyrgyz people to Hungary.
The parties expressed readiness to further strengthen bilateral relations and implement joint projects.
